There are not many jazz concert curators in this city who have the passion and love to keep jazz alive without the financial power of a Wynton Marsalis. Bravo and respect. Hope to see more people attending Arnie Perez’s jazz celebration events. How about this Sunday?

Sunday's opening Sunday Serenade at the Zinc Bar was an eye opener. The DiRubbo-Hendrix Quintet served notice that they are not to be taken lightly. Considering the Jewish Holiday and the rain we came very close to selling the Zinc Bar out. Many new fans and students taking advantage of the student discount were treated to many original compositions put together by the quintet. Downtown got a taste of what is to be expected at each Sunday Serenade into the Zinc Bar. Nothing more than some straight ahead nonsense music played by the Cats who know the vocabulary :-). Thanks to Freddie Hendrix, Mike DiRubbo, Nat Reeves, Anthony Wonsey & Kush Abadey for giving us some incredible music for our listening ears. Special shout goes out to all the great fans that came out and showed their support. It's a privilege to being partners with the Zinc Bar who know how to do it the right way. Live At The Zinc Bar Another Sunday at the Zinc Bar on December8,2019 showcasing the Billy Harper Quintet was just not another Sunday Serenade presented by VTY Jazz Arts. This was classic Billy Harper that you don't get the opportunity to catch as often as you would like. The quintet was on fire and a sold out house roared with excitement and did the quintet love it :-). Words can't express the vibe for these Sunday Serenades, you got to be there live to experience this for yourself. Thanks to Billy, Josh Evans, Aaron Scott, Francesca Tanksley, & Hawansu Kang for giving us a Sunday that won't soon be forgotten. New York, there is nothing like it. A special thanks to all those hard-core fans that just can't get enough of the real thing. If you think I'm kidding, you need to come out and experience a VTY Jazz Sunday Serenade.
